In Love...

In search for a puppy too add into our home, I got a call from Pet's Discount this week that Beagles have arrived! :)  After the bf picked me up from work and dinner at Boulevard Saimen (yum), we eagerly headed to Pet's Discount to play with the beagle puppies.

Headed right toward the beagles, we saw one that caught our eye -- it was staring straight at us with those sad puppy eyes.  After playing around with the cutest little thing, I was in love..... With a puppy name already in mind, Lucy' for a girl and 'Ricky' for a boy -- of course named after my favorite old time tv show "I Love Lucy", I was in love with her.  Sadly, after an hour of playtime with her we weren't able to purchase the cutie due to not being able to move into our home until 2 weeks and their 1 hour holding policy. And with no puppy babysitter we had to say bye. *tear*

Isn't she the cutest little thing?  Sad to let her go.  Didn't bark, howl or a lick -- you could say it was the perfect puppy.  Too bad timing was not on my side.  My future 'Lucy' and 'Ricky' shall come another time.

Black Friday/Cyber Monday

Black Friday / Cyber Monday only equals one thing ... Christmas came early for me :)

Started off my Black Friday at 8:30 am at Target and ended my day at 3pm at Ala Moana shopping center. And what did I have to show for about 7 hours of shopping... scored myself a $44 Singer Sewing Machine :) What more could a girl ask for. ha ha ha. No, but really I've been wanting one for the past year. I guess Black Friday did pay off.

Cyber Monday went off to a great start by picking up a few goodies online. Since Black Friday didn't leave me with any cute outfit purchases, my fallback of course is online shopping (90% of my clothes and shoes are bought online since it is so hard to find cute things in Hawaii).

Sadly, no bag purchases this year *tear*. It will have to wait. Overall satisfied with my purchase this year. No shopping until Jan 2010.

the cutest dog!

Walking through downtown to get my 3pm snack due to an overload of stress at work, me and my coworker came across the cutest little dog!! From far away he looked like a stuffed animal. So well groomed I must say.

I'm no fan of small dogs but this made me say 'awwww I want to take you home with me!'. Not only was it adorable it was so well behaved. Did not try to jump or lick me like most dogs and it allowed me to pet it without being shy, it loved the attention :)

Makes me want to get my king charles spaniel and beagle soon! Maybe it will be sooner than later with our recent purchase on a house!

Halloween!

I actually grew fond of Halloween over the couple of years.. It brings out the creative minds for many and its just plain fun!

This year, wanted to avoid a couple of things:

1) Traffic
2) Paying someone to valet my car when I can do it myself
3) Waiting 10 minutes around a bar just to get a darn drink

So, I avoided going back to Waikiki this year. Didn't want to be part of the wandering crowd . And, having a fractured toe this year, I opted to go someplace with seats.

Once again, I made my costume (with the help of my mom), last minute as usual, but it turned out pretty darn good. One downfall of the night -- no one brought their camera!! Thank goodness for camera phones -- not as good, but good enough :)

All that Glitters is ... Sequins!

Ever since the blazer and boyfriend blazer has become a trend more than a year ago, I've been sporting my blazer with a pair of cute skinny jeans, tshirt or tank, statement necklace and a pair of flats all around town (its my low maintenance, never-can-go-wrong outfit ). Sure its 80 degrees out, but sometimes enduring the heat to look cute is necessary :)

I've been searching high and low looking for my next blazer purchase and I found! A black sequined blazer. Eight Sixty's Sequin Blazer, what a perfect fit on my petite frame. Loose and drapey in the front, perfect to go with a pair of skinny jeans, white tank and killer ankle booties or pumps. Or possibly pair it with my denim cut off shorts or a mini -- perfect to grab a few drinks with the gals or the bf :)

I must decided soon... only 1 xs mall left.. eek!

Current obsession

November is rolling near, which means... eeek! a possible new bag purchase.. Last year during Blackout Friday, I purchased my first Chloe!!! the chloe medium paraty in chocolate brown. Can I just say the best purchase made!

Of course it looks like any other purse to the average girl but to the fashion obsessed it was the IT bag of the season, hanging around the arms of Katie Holmes, Ashley Olsen, Jessica Biel and and Kate Bosworth. I was more than ecstatic when I snatched the very last one at Ala Moana Nordstrom... lets just say it was an early xmas gift to myself ... :)

Ok, so my current obsession, the Givenchy Nightingdale, came out last season, but it doesnt mean its not worthy to be seen out at the mall or a night out in town .. every girl needs a simple beautiful black purse, right?

chic, simple, elegant.... I die.

After a 1 year much anticipated dinner at Mitchs, the time has come to eat my fill on sushi :) The only time we go to Mitch's sushi is for the bf's birthday. Our order included: Lobster sashimi, toro, amaebi, sushi platter, and oysters. And who can forget the BYOB .. stella artois.
