1-2-3

Love to venture into new places and check out new things.

Downtown was once my after-work playground, but recently due to the overabundance of police check-points, this part of town remains to be a rare outing.  Fine eateries such as Soul De Cuba (verdict: good!) was on our list as well as bar hopping to my usual 39Hotel and discovering new places like BambuTwo --- to which I was a bit dissapointed!

BambuTwo

Also ventured out into another part of the city I rarely visit, Waikiki.  With my fair complexion and  tourist-like appearance, I could easily be mistaken as a tourist - *peace sign*.  Doing what I do best, I enjoyed a brief and quick shopping fix before continuing the drinking festivities.

Learning from the pro's -- taking a cab into waikiki is ideal.

Again, with the bubbles. Love it.

Age is just a number

Another year older? Yes. Another year wiser? Perhaps.  Another year more accomplished?  hmmm...still working on that.

(why do I sip champagne so oddly?)

Thai Food (one of my favorites), Bubbles (a must for every anniversary and birthday occasion) and Chocolate Haupia pie (extracted all the whip cream off before taking a bite into this delicious dessert)

Skipped the fine dining this year, and instead had an intimate and quiet dinner at home with the bf. Dress up will need to be saved for upcoming festivities.  Also, pigged out Jambong, Creampot and cupcakes (thanks familia and coworkers).  Geezus, I really really really need to hit the gym again!

Getting older means a must needed 2pm nap on the weekends and feeling 'oh so good' after sipping on 2 cocktails.  It's actually pretty awesome. I'm not complaining about getting old.  I mean who wants to stay 22 years young forever?  I can't wait to get old,  retire and take memorable trips with the lover. Dolce Vita.

Boyfriends

Been on blog hiatus.. or call it laziness and forgetfulness.  In any case, it's time for an update!

Love the boyfriend trends: blazer, jeans, shirt and oxfords!

I own all except the jeans.. I prefer clean lines versus the shabby chic look.  I finally got a pair of oxford flats a couple weeks ago.  Been searching for what feels like an eternity to find a cute pair doesn't look too "manly" and not priced at $100+.  I also purchased a pair of cute oxford heels. excited. Perfect to wear on a casual day out.

Been on a shoe craze lately.

I them so much, I'm putting in another order for the ivory  :)

Also loving MAC's lipstick color in Creme Cup and Chatterbox.  The perfect 'pink' pout for Spring.

Wishful Thinking

While many think that living in Hawaii is paradise, there is a huge downfall living on this tiny island -- the lack of selection on clothes and stores!  This includes UO (avid online shopper), H&M, Zara, Top Shop and IKEA (I'll throw IKEA in the mix even though it has nothing to do with clothes).  On one hand, I wish those stores would open up locations in Hawaii. On the other hand, it would mean an unfulfilled shopping trip to the mainland.  So I'm torn, I just wished H&M and Zara would start online shopping -- the latter coming soon this Fall!

Previewed the H&M 2010 Spring collection this morning.  Jealous.  Makes me wish I was back living in LA just so I can own some of these.  I will just have to stick to online shopping for now.

Just booked my Vegas trip in September so hopefully I find alot of cute stuff when I get up there :)

Happy Easter everyone.  Enjoyed the rainy day with lots of food and egg painting. Experimented with box wine from Target.  Conclusion: never buy box wine. never again.
