New In: ID necklace

Love my new hardware I recently purchased.
It's a take on the Celine ID necklace but without the hefty price tag.
A statement necklace.  Great to throw on a simple tee, jeans and heels to vamp up a casual outfit.

Loves it: Clover Canyon

In love with this new clothing line, Clover Canyon.
For a girl with a bare minimum of prints in my closet, these prints are just so awesome I would replace all my monochrome colors with these lovely prints and patterns.
Plus, their price point is pretty awesome.
Love, love love.

In the crowd

Just a weekend blog.. nothing exciting.

Oh how easily I can hide myself in a crowd of jolly tourists strolling down the white sandy beaches of Waikiki.

Headed down to the Royal Hawaiian Hotel --- The Pink Hotel as I like to call it--- and enjoyed some 'expensive' mai tais with beachfront view after having a great lunch with the family at Doraku.  Lunch and booze makes a great day.  As you can tell by my attire and skin color the beach ain't my thaaang as I strolled on the sand in a sweater for goodness sakes.  Sweating bullets. After realizing I wore a tank underneath, I immediately ripped it off my body and enjoyed the view with beer in hand.

It's nice to sit back and relax and enjoy the view of what 'Paradise' truly is and how often I take advantage of it.

Yes, THOSE shoes.

Damn, they came out with a slingback version...
Can someone please get these so that I can adore them from afar? or perhaps if even borrow?
Total drool-worthy.

Peplum

What a busy busy three-day weekend..
Headed out to Apartment3 Sunday night as it was their last night in business..
Coincidentally, the night before was my 10-year high school reunion held at Apartment3, which I did not attend.  Now, if there was such a thing like a 10-year college reunion, I would reconsider. :)

Finally got to wear out my peplum skirt that I got months ago but never found the time to wear it.
I'm head over heels with anything peplum.
It definitely gives my boyishly non-cury hips some curves!
Kept it very simple going with a black & white outfit combo.

Is it Friday yet?

Tie.Dye.

Tie dye jeans. Not sure if this particular style is for me, perhaps something with more blue.. Testing it out. But it goes so well with white pumps.

flats: zara
Been looking for a pair of metallic heels like the Alexander Wang Fabiana, but to no avail, so when I came across these flats, it was a no-brainer that I had to get them.  Wore them out today for my birthday lunch with a dear friend, thanks Sum!

M I N T

Finally embracing Springs biggest color trend, mint green. It's such a refreshing color. It took me some time to find the perfect shade of mint, but finally found it on a knitted sweater.

Shot from the top

No profound thoughts or writing.
I just love my color-block heels.
Color, definitely something absent in my closet.
That is all.

You've Got Me Addicted, Again.

Continuing it's insane fashion forward style, Zara created it's March Lookbook which covers and hits all the major spring/fall trends seen on the runway.   Knowing and seeing this does not help with my shopping addiction.  Some of my favorite looks in their March Lookbook include:

Peplum mini skirt
Floral print blouse
Blush top with fringe leather skirt WITH a fierce studded clutch.. My #1 look, hands down.

Fresh colors

Just when I stopped obsessing over a dream bag -- the much coveted Celine Boston and Valentino Rockstud clutch) --- behold the minds behind Proenza Schouler comes out with their classic PS11 in spring bright colors! Color blocking has never looked this good.

I'm in love with this clutch. The colors are spot-on for Spring.

Me likey.

White & Black

Happy New Year!

Enjoyed this past weekend with a relaxing massage during the day and a great meal at dinner.  Visited a great restaurant in town and it made me wonder why I haven't tried this place before! A re-visit is a must in the near future. Beef ternderloin and lamb was on our menu -- both amazing dishes.  Ended the fabulous night being a part of the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, and bar hopping throughout the night.

mmmmm... yuuuuuum

On to the next...
(kept it classic with a white tux blazer -- change from loubs to f21 half way through the night)

Holiday colors

Merry Christmas!

Thought I'd be in the holiday spirit with my outfit and wore a sequined top with bold orange red lipstick to celebrate the birthday girl turning the big 25.   Nothing says the holidays like sequins and red lips!

I was never one to wear red lips due to my pale white skin, but this orange-red shade is suuuper for those with a light complexion.  Perfect shade of red with a bright pop of orange to keep things fresh. AND the best part, it stayed put throughout the entire night of cocktail drinking.

In the Moment: patent loafers

In love with my new patent loafers.  My other pair of black flats were to the point of no return.  Quite embarrassing to walk around in.  Picked these up and it's such a great alternative.  AND they didn't cost me a fortune. Love cheap thrills!

Basics

Here I am.  Taking a temporary break from blogging, but of course continually keeping up with the fashion scene, just not taking part in it as often as I would like.

Some 'new' things that I added to my closet:

Shimmer Top (Gap)
Stripe top (so prada-esque, f21)
Denim top (finallly! found a perfect denim shirt I love and fits so well, topshop)
Leather pleated skirt (finally! as close as it comes to the much coveted Zara version, Free People)

Super sunglasses, thrifted top, UO shorts, Celine bag, jcrew flats

Checked out the Kava festival again this year at UH Manoa campus -- very candid shot, thus the unflattering  photo of me.  The wavering weather kept our stay here short -- sun, rain, sun rain....

BTW,  I heart my new sunglasses.  Mix of the norm ray ban wayferers mixed with a slight edge.

Found my new hi-top that I'm really obsessed with right now.
Looks like an average hi-top, but drooool, it's 3.1 Phillip Lim hi-top.
So not ostentatious, so subtle. so ME.
I need now. Ok, not need, more like I wish.
Boyfriend, are you reading?
Juuust kidding, not really, sort of, no im joking, ok maybe not, nah I'm just joking, no I REALLy want :)

Get on my feet NOW.
Zukeroni, I hope you're still reading ;)

Street Style

image c/o carolinesmode

Cool Factor.
Shes definitely got it.
Every piece of item she has on, I want it on me.
My inspiration of the day.
Swoooon.

All black -- check.
Jimmy Choo sneakers -- double check.
Classic black prada bag -- check
Statement jewelry -- check.

One of the best fashion inspirations come from street style -- images of personal style reflecting the current runway fashion.  Average girls mixing in their own personal touches with in-the-moment pieces make the fashion scene such an eclectic mix and gives me a pool of inspiration to draw from.

Currently on my radar:
- a pair of hi-tops
- more arm candy
- Mesh over-sized sweater
- Pleated skirts
- loafers
- slouchy trouser
- Charlotte Olympia heels (this should be considered more of a 'wishlist')

Arm Candy

Arm candy, the latest trend that I haven't quite experimented... Perhaps I'm just too picky about my selection, but really it's because my teeny tiny wrists can't adorn the normal size bracelets, waaaah!

My style for arm candy is mixing simpleness with a little edge OR you can go the other popular route and go a little Gypsy --- everything from Hermes to Cartier mixing with eclectic neon color friendship bracelets. Which is your style? What I would do to get an Hermes bracelet slapped on my wrist.. swoooon.

My personal favorite is of course Olivia Palermo's arm candy. 3 pieces of cc skye spike bracelet in gold and silver. so simple yet a statement piece. Get on my wrist!
